The Fife Regatta 2008 Official Print
To celebrate The Fife Regatta, Alastair Houston has created a special limited edition collectors print from a watercolour depicting the 19m class yacht ‘Mariquita’ on the Clyde.
She is a stunning example of a large racing cutter built at Fairlie. Originally commissioned by Mr AK Stothert in 1911, she was recovered in the 1990s from a state of great disrepair and has recently been restored to perfection. She is unquestionably one of the most beautiful yachts of her era ever built, a testament to Fifes genius in fast design as well as aesthetic beauty. Each print comes titled with the event and participating yacht clubs as a momento to this great gathering of yachts.
Quality
Prints are individually printed on Aquarelle Arches 640gms rough watercolour paper made since 1492, exactly the same paper as the original artwork. Edition size is limited to 275. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist and embossed with the artist,s seal. Each print comes in presentation folder also suitable for shipping.
