Description
The Fife Dragon is an iconic symbol of the Fairlie yard.
When a dragon was carved a rubbing was made of it to record the design, then when a dragon was required for a similar size yacht, the rubbing was attached to the hull and the design was transferred on to it by pricking it out. The process inevitably destroyed most of the rubbings.
This dragon rubbing was made in 1932 and is reproduced full size on 190 gsm satin paper in a digital printing process.
The prints are sold unframed and rolled in a cardboard tube for safe transport.
